CAREC Senior Officials' Meeting 2023

High-level officials of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) member countries gathered at the CAREC Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) in Tbilisi, Georgia on 13-14 June 2023. Participants discussed the implementation of the CAREC 2030 Strategy, progress achieved and areas for further collaboration and action under the CAREC’s operational clusters and crosscutting themes. Mr. Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Ms. Xiaohong Yang, Deputy Director General of the Central and West Asia Department (CWRD), chaired the meeting. Ms. Lyaziza Sabyrova, Director of Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, CWRD and Ms. Emma Fan, Director of Public Management, Financial Sector, and Regional Cooperation Division of East Asia Department presented and moderated sessions.
