7th Meeting of the CAREC Regional Trade Group

On 13 June 2025, the CAREC Regional Trade Group deliberated on the midterm review of the CAREC Integrated Trade Agenda (CITA) 2030 and recommended to prioritize digital trade, services trade and cross-border investment promotion, green and digital supply chain, and private sector engagement, including SMEs, business innovators, and startups. Mr. Sanzharbek Bolotov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce and CAREC National Focal Point for the Kyrgyz Republic acknowledged the notable progress in improving cross-border trade and connectivity which are priorities under the CAREC Program and CITA 2030. KYRM CD Zheng Wu underscored the need to deepen regional cooperation to expand trade and enhance members’ linkage with the global value chain, through an open, efficient and resilient trade system in the CAREC region. The outcomes of the RTG meeting, attended by over 50 participants in Bishkek, will be reported to CAREC Senior Officials Meeting on 18-19 June 2025.
