CAREC Knowledge Sharing Program on ICT for Energy
Thirty-five participants from the Ministry of Energy and energy utility companies from CAREC countries joined the knowledge sharing program.
The program was sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and supported by the Korea Smart Grid Association.
The knowledge sharing program on information and communication technology (ICT) for energy was designed to improve understanding of ICT and other key technologies for energy sector development through some case studies in the Republic of Korea focusing on key success factors and policy implications related to those programs.
Participants learned from a number of key initiatives implemented in the Republic of Korea through site visits and interactive discussion sessions on smart-grid, energy management, and storage systems, among others.
