CAREC Senior Officials' Meeting (June 2017)
Senior officials from CAREC and partner institutions met to discuss and provide guidance on the new CAREC long-term strategy. The meeting highlighted recent progress on operational priorities and noted preparations for the 16th CAREC Ministerial Conference in October in Tajikistan.
Genadi Arveladze, deputy minister of Georgia’s Economy and Sustainable Development, welcomed the participants. Gulru Kayumova, deputy minister of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, chaired the meeting; Asian Development Bank (ADB) Central and West Asia Department (CWRD) Director General Sean O’Sullivan, ADB East Asia Department Director General Ayumi Konishi, and CWRD Deputy Director General Hong Wei co-chaired the meeting.
