12th CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting
Transport sector representatives from the 10 CAREC member countries gathered to (i) review the stock-take progress report on the CAREC Transport, (ii) review the Trade Facilitation Strategy and Action Plan, and (iii) discuss the next steps to refining the strategy.
Delegates were updated on the progress in trade facilitation and cross-border transport facilitation, and on knowledge sharing on innovative transport operations and management.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan and the Asian Development Bank co-chaired the meeting.
Other delegates represented the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Islamic Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, the World Bank, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Intergovernmental Commission Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia.
