5th CAREC Regional Trade Group (RTG) Meeting
On 18 October, CAREC members shared progress on improving market access, diversifying trade, and strengthening trade institutions, which are pillars of the CAREC Integrated Trade Agenda 2030. EARD Advisor Safdar Parvez welcomed CAREC countries commitment to open and transparent trade amid the ongoing supply chain disruptions and encouraged members to deepen cooperation in trade facilitation, digital transformation, and trade agreements. CWRC Director Lyaziza Sabyrova noted the substantive progress in the Rolling Strategic Action Plan and its relevance and responsiveness to countries’ needs and priorities. DDG Ning Chen of PRC’s Ministry of Commerce, chaired the RTG meeting and invited participants to the upcoming CAREC Digital Trade Forum on 8 November 2022.
