Regional Road Development Project, Supplementary The supplementary loan and grant for the project covers financing cost overruns related to the construction of the remaining 62 kilometers (km) of the two-lane road section of about 430 km from Choyr to the border near Zamyn–Uud.
National Road Rehabilitation (Osh–Batken–Isfana) Project The project will contribute to the reduction of transport costs and travel time along the Osh–Batken–Isfana Road corridor, improve road safety, and create temporary jobs through the repair and rehabilitation of road infrastructure in and around Osh and Jalal-Abad cities.
CAREC Transport Corridor I (Zhambyl Oblast Section) Investment Program, Tranche 2 The second project will reconstruct 79 kilometers of the highway in Zhambyl Oblast. This will be part of the CAREC Transport Corridor 1, running from Khorgos city through Almaty and Shymkent to the Russian Federation's western border.
CAREC Transport Corridor I (Bishkek–Torugart Road), Tranche 2 The second rehabilitation project on the Bishkek–Torugart Road will upgrade 75 kilometers of a two-lane road, build a border control facility, and provide training and skills development for road engineering graduates of local universities.
Osh–Isfana Road Upgrading Project The project is part of the development of the Kyrgyz Republic’s road network, and specifically to growing mobility along the only connection between the main Kyrgyz cities in Fergana Valley and the rest of the country.
Xinjiang Urban Transport and Environmental Improvement Project The project will improve urban road infrastructure, traffic management, and environmental sanitation in the cities of Altay, Changji, Hami, Kuytun, and Turpan.
Second Highway Project, Second Additional Financing The second additional financing will promote regional economic development and poverty reduction by reducing road transport costs and improving access, transit, and road safety.
South–West Roads: Western Europe–Western China International Transit Corridor (CAREC 1b and 6b) The objective of the South West Roads Project for Western Europe–Western China International Transit Corridor (CAREC-1B and 6B) is to improve transport efficiency along road sections in Kyzylorda, South Kazakhstan and Almaty Oblasts, improve road management, and increase traffic safety in Kazakhstan.
Construction of Bereket–Etrek–Turkmenistan–Iran Border Railway The project includes construction of the railway lines, nine stations as well as a locomotive transfer and maintenance depots in Etrek and Bereket, and purchase of locomotives and railway equipment construction and maintenance.
Procurement of Two Oil Tankers The Islamic Development Bank approved financing for procurement of two large capacity oil tankers. Built in one of Russia's oldest and largest shipyards, the two river-sea tankers, with a capacity of 7 tons each, will transport oil and oil products.
Reconstruction of Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart Road Project The project will improve a 92-kilometer long segment of an existing two-lane road.
Reconstruction of South Kazakhstan Region Border to Taraz City: Western Europe–Western China Road Corridor The project involves reconstruction of 58 kilometers (km) of road stretching from South Kazakhstan Region border to Taraz City.
CAREC Transport Corridor I (Zhambyl Oblast Section) Investment Program, Project 1 The first project will reconstruct 125 kilometers of the highway between Taraz and Korday in Zhambyl Oblast. This will be part of the CAREC Transport Corridor I, running from Khorgos city through Almaty and Shymkent to the Russian Federation's western border.
South–West Corridor Road Project The project will help facilitate the transit of goods and passengers between Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and Europe, and also promote regional integration.
Road Network Development Program, Tranche 2 (Ganja Bypass) The second project under the multitranche financing facility will rehabilitate about 37.5 kilometers of the two-lane Ganja bypass road. The road is part of the country's primary east-west highway linking the capital, Baku, to the Georgian border.
Second Highway Project, First Additional Financing (East–West and North–South Corridors: Alat–Masali and Tagiyev–Sahil) The additional financing will help achieve the original project's objectives to reduce road transport costs and improve access, transit, and road safety within Azerbaijan's east–west and north–south corridors.
Xinjiang Municipal Infrastructure and Environmental Improvement Project The project will contribute to sustained socioeconomic growth and improved living standards in Altay Administrative District, Boertala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, and Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture—border areas of northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Rail Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (East–West Main Line) The objectives of the Rail Trade and Transport Facilitation Project are to improve railway services in Azerbaijan, as well as the competitiveness, financial sustainability, operating and cost efficiency, and capacity of Azerbaijan Railway (ADDY) in particular along the transport corridor toward Georgia.
Reconstruction of Taraz–Talas–Suusamyr Road, Phase 2 The second phase of the project will reconstruct 199 kilometers of the Taraz–Talas Suusamyr Road.
