Construction of Bereket–Etrek–Turkmenistan–Iran Border Railway

Summary

The Government of Turkmenistan has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Project of Construction of Bereket - Etrek -Turkmenistan/Iran Border Railway, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Completing the Designing and Construction on a Turn-key Basis of Main Locomotive Depot at the Bereket Station.

Expected Outcome

The project includes construction of the railway lines, nine stations as well as a locomotive transfer and maintenance depots in Etrek and Bereket, and purchase of locomotives and railway equipment construction and maintenance.
