CAREC Energy Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting (June 2013)
Energy sector focal points of CAREC member countries, officials from energy ministries and agencies, and representatives from multilateral development partners discussed
- specific actions under the recently adopted ESCC energy work plan (EWP) 2013-2015,
- capacity building and knowledge activities for 2013, and
- deliverables for the June 2013 CAREC Senior Officials Meeting.
The draft EWP was endorsed at the June 2012 CAREC Senior Officials’ Meeting.
The EWP outlines a mechanism for realizing projects and programs that will improve energy cooperation among CAREC countries.
The Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan hosted the meeting. It was the first CAREC sector meeting hosted by Turkmenistan.
