Consultation Workshop on New Long-Term CAREC Strategy (Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic)
Consultations were held with key stakeholders in Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic on a new long- term strategy for CAREC.
A mission led by Safdar Parvez, director, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, Central and West Asia Department, met with Ruslan Dalenov, first vice minister, Ministry of National Economy, Kazakhstan, and Sanjar Umetaliev, deputy chief of staff, Prime Minister’s Officer, Kyrgyz Republic.
Consultation workshops involving key government ministries and agencies were convened in Bishkek on 21 April and in Astana on 25 April.
Giovanni Capannelli, country director, ADB Kazakhstan Resident Mission, and Candice McDeigan, country director, ADB Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the mission.
