Consultation Workshop on New Long-Term CAREC Strategy (Afghanistan and Pakistan)
Consultations were held with key stakeholders in Afghanistan and Pakistan on a new long- term strategy for CAREC.
A mission led by Safdar Parvez, director, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, Central and West Asia Department, met with Tariq Pasha, secretary, Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Division, and Shafiq Ahmad Qarizada, finance deputy minister, Afghanistan.
Consultation workshops involving key government ministries and agencies were convened in Islamabad on 12 April and in Kabul on 15 April..
Sunil Mitra, officer-in-charge, ADB Pakistan Resident Mission, and Thomas Panella, country director, ADB Afghanistan Resident Mission, participated in the mission.
