Workshop on CAREC 2020 Medium-Term List of Priority Projects: Transport and Trade Facilitation
The joint workshop for transport and trade facilitation was conducted to discuss the high-priority regional cooperation projects that will be included in the 2012-2015 pipeline of the CAREC 2020 strategic framework of CAREC for the next 10 years. Selection criteria for these sector projects were presented.
The workshop also gave updates on the joint transport and trade facilitation strategy and on the implementation action plan.
Sector focal points from CAREC member countries — Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan — and representatives from the Asian Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank attended the workshop.
