Forum on Trade Facilitation and Customs Modernization

The forum, co-sponsored by ADB and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), supported the training initiatives endorsed by the Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC) at the Meeting in Baku in December 2004. It focused on Singapore’s efforts to

• streamline and integrate trade procedures of all trade-related agencies through a nationwide automated information system (i.e., the TradeNet);
• cooperate with the private sector to maintain and upgrade the TradeNet; and
• adopt modern customs practices based on risk management, post-entry audit, and customs intelligence.
