Third CAREC Customs Cooperation Committee Meeting
The Third Customs Cooperation Committee (CCC) meeting was held on 1-3 December 2004 in Baku, Azerbaijan, to give guidance on priorities and future direction of the Regional Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation Program (RTFCCP), and review the work programs prepared by the CCC Working Groups.
CCC members adopted a joint statement to strengthen regional customs cooperation, and witnessed the signing of an Agreement on Customs Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Services between Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting consisted of
- a report on the progress of the Regional Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation Program (RTFCCP) by the Secretariat,
- statements by CCC members to give guidance on priorities and future direction of the RTFCCP,
- Working Group Meetings to develop work programs for 2005-2006, and
- Concluding Session among the CCC members to review the work programs prepared by the Working Groups and agree upon a joint statement of the CCC.
