CAREC Women Business Forum
The Women’s Business Forum was held on 28-29 November in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the sidelines of the 22nd CAREC Ministerial Conference. The CAREC Women Business Forum focused on fostering regional collaboration, collecting ideas for achieving “Inclusion, Empowerment, and Resilience for All” in the CAREC region. Participants discussed priority issues for CAREC’s Gender program, current challenges, priorities, and proposed concrete actions for implementing the CAREC Gender Strategy. The forum aimed to address barriers in accessing finance, technology, and innovation, formulating action plans to enhance support for women with emphasis on boosting financial and digital literacy, empowering women for informed decision-making, and efficient resource management. It showcased successful initiatives and best practices that have contributed to gender equality with the objective to identify key drivers and factors that have significantly advanced gender equality within the CAREC communities.
