Almaty–Bishkek Economic Corridor Consultative Meeting
Asian Development Bank participated in the first Almaty-Bishkek Economic Corridor (ABEC) consultative meeting of the joint subcommittee of senior government officials from Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting agreed on 2017 deliverables and prepared the constituting subcommittee meeting under the Intergovernmental Council, chaired by the Prime Ministers of the two governments.
The subcommittee discussed projects in agriculture, tourism, health, education, and connectivity. The First Vice-Minister of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan Ruslan Dalenov and the Director of International Cooperation and Donor’s Aid Coordination Department of the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Economy Nadira Dzheenbekova chaired the meeting.
