Second Workshop on CAREC Advanced Transit System and CAREC Customs Information Common Exchange
At the second workshop of the CAREC Advanced Transit System (CATS) and the CAREC Customs Information Common Exchange (ICE), working group meetings prepared a trilateral agreement and an action plan to pilot test prototypes of the CATS and ICE in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.
The working groups covered legal and regulatory framework issues, risk management, and information technology. Workshop attendees included customs officials and representatives from transit and insurance companies.
