CAREC Train-the-Trainers Workshop for Kazakhstan Customs

Customs trainers and officers in Kazakhstan attended the training workshop conducted by the Shanghai Customs College (SCC).

The workshop, co-sponsored by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Asian Development Bank, aimed to develop training and participative classroom skills of participants, which will support the design and delivery of local customs training in Kazakhstan.

The SCC developed specialized customs training courses that have been made available to customs authorities in CAREC countries.

The training uses a modular approach, combining classroom learning and interactive discussions on best practices delivered by tutors with extensive practical training experience.

Upon their return to Kazakhstan, participants were expected to submit a short report on the training workshop, including lessons learned and their plans to support delivery of national training in the country.
