CAREC University Startup Generator 2023 - Award Ceremony
The CAREC Secretariat has declared the winners of its eight-week-long CAREC University Startup Generator 2023 initiative, which aims to promote collaboration and engagement among university students in the CAREC region. The contest drew 168 teams from 10 countries, representing 580 students, with 10 teams eventually selected to present their pitches on March 29, 2023. The “NIP” team was awarded the first prize for their innovative idea to improve public transportation via smart buses, followed by the “GSL” team who secured the second prize for their solution aimed at enhancing office productivity using AI Office Butler, and the “Goddard-Discovery” team got the third prize for providing research assistance in literature review process using AI. A special prize was also awarded to the “4You” team for their psychological and fitness App for children. Lyaziza Sabyrova, Director, CWRC, congratulated the winners and participants for their dedication throughout the program. The CAREC Secretariat looks forward to continuing to support universities to nurture entrepreneurship among students in the future.
The CAREC University Startup Generator Challenge is a part of the CAREC Digital Strategy 2030, which aims to foster innovation in university startup ecosystems across the CAREC region.
