Transport Sector Master Plan Update
This technical assistance (TA) project will contribute to an increase in trade between Afghanistan and neighboring countries of 100% over the period 2012-2020, and to increased economic activity associated with an increase in the percentage of the adult population at work from 43.8% in 2012 to 50% in 2020.
Approved medium- and long-term investment priorities, and required reforms for transport sector in Afghanistan. The updated transport master plan containing medium- and long-term investment priorities has been approved by the Minister for Public Works.
The main outputs of the TA will be the completion of a transport master plan for Afghanistan, and a transport sector assessment and road map. Additional deliverables, which contribute to the final outputs, include an appraisal methodology report, a list of proposed interventions, and regular monthly and quarterly progress reports.
