Regional Improving Border Services Project

Summary

The project preparatory technical assistance will

  • develop an investment project bankable by ADB loan;
  • conduct due diligence for technical, economic, financial, social, and environmental viability of the project; and
  • assist the executing agency in developing required documentation for country resource allocation including PC-1 for submission to the Planning Commission.

Expected Outcome

The project will modernize infrastructure of a selected border-crossing point (either Torkham at the Afghanistan border or Wagha at the Indian border) to meet the demand for quality border-crossing services.

Expected Outputs

The output of the project will be a modernized border-crossing point that meets users' demand of quality border-crossing services and is ready to develop into an integrated and coordinated border management regime such as the single-window system.
