Summary
To promote transport, trade, and tourism among the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries, the technical assistance helps formulate and implement an intergovernmental agreement to facilitate international road transport.
Expected Outcome
The expected outcome of the TA was the formulation and implementation of an intergovernmental agreement on facilitation of international road transport that was consistent with existing international conventions and took into account ongoing negotiations on the Transit Traffic Agreement Framework among the People’s Republic of China, Mongolia, and the Russian Federation.
Expected Outputs
The expected TA outputs were (i) negotiated Framework Agreement protocols by SCO member governments, and (ii) strengthened capacity of government officials and other stakeholders in SCO members for implementing the agreement.
