CAREC Corridors 2, 5, and 6 (Dushanbe–Kurgonteppa) Road Project
Summary
The project preparatory technical assistance (PPTA) from the Asian Development Bank will help identify, formulate, and prepare a loan and/or grant for a 20 kilometer section of the Dushanbe to Kurgonteppa road, which forms part of CAREC corridors 2, 5 and 6. The PPTA will assess the technical, economic, financial, social, and environmental viability of the project and prepare required due diligence documents.
Expected Outcome
The project will improve road safety through provision of funding for safe urban areas, and will strengthen road asset management through the provision of a road asset management system for the Ministry of Transport.
Expected Outputs
The main outcome is a feasibility study covering the entire corridor between Dushanbe and Kurgonteppa. The feasibility study will study sectioning of the road.
