Addressing Health Threats in Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Countries and the Caucasus

Summary

This knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) will enhance regional health cooperation in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) countries and the Caucasus. It will facilitate regional policy dialogues, knowledge sharing, and a more coordinated approach to common health threats and challenges. In particular, the TA will (i) develop innovative solutions in response to the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic; and (ii) build capacity to jointly prevent, prepare for, and respond to regional health threats.

Joint approaches to regional health challenges strengthened

  • Capacity to respond to COVID-19 pandemic enhanced
  • Capacity to prevent, prepare for, and respond to regional health threats developed
