ADB, Kyrgyz Republic presented air quality data available online

ADB-funded Bishkek real-time air quality data is now available on the KyrgyzHydroMet and the Almaty Bishkek Economic Corridor websites. The data is shown on a live map indicating particular matter and Air Quality Index by 50 air monitoring devices. KYRM CD Kanokpan Lao-Araya and the Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Ajikeev participated at the press briefing and explained how the data will help identify local sources of pollution, inform which mitigation measures are most effective, and compare their costs with health impacts on 18 March.
