Uzbekistan issues first crypto licenses to two local crypto companies
Uzbekistan has begun issuing regulatory approvals to regional cryptocurrency service providers as they get ready for the country to adopt a new cryptocurrency framework in 2023. 
China promotes digital transformation of SMEs
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently released a guideline to facilitate the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The guideline calls for the creation of digital applications for instant communication, long-distance collaboration and project management during SMEs transformation.

CAREC University Startup Generator 2023
The CAREC University Startup Generator is a competitive innovation challenge for university students in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) region to develop practical, entrepreneurial and soft skills by tackling real-world social and corporate problems. This initiative intends to support the development of talent within the innovation ecosystem and foster innovative approaches to addressing local challenges. CIN Members’ workshop: "Investing in Frontier and Emerging Markets
The CAREC Innovation Network (CIN) is hosting a workshop "Investing in Frontier and Emerging Markets" on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 4:00 pm Manila Time. CIN is a community for all startup ecosystem builders in the CAREC region. CIN organizes various activities to support and enable the ecosystem builders towards regional cooperation, collaboration and scaling their impact.

CIN Members’ workshop: Understanding Startup Ecosystems
On 16th November, the CAREC Secretariat organized a workshop on “Understanding Startup Ecosystems”. The virtual meeting brought together more than 30 participants (including accelerators, and incubators) from 7 CAREC member countries. The objective of this workshop was to highlight the value that Ecosystem builders create and add for the startups to grow. 
Central Asian delegation presented startup ideas at EdTech Asia Summit in Singapore
A team of 13 education professionals from Central Asia took part for the first time in EdTech Asia’s sixth annual summit in Singapore. The delegation included the founders of education companies in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. As the founder of Edtech Asia Summit Mike Michalec said, the goal was to share with the global community how Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and CA, in general, should be engaged in greater Asian EdTech.
Pakistan’s Chiragh Education Technologies wins pitch fest at A-hub global accelerator in Morocco
Pakistan’s Chiragh Education Technologies managed to beat 17 other startups to secure 1st place and $10,000 at the first-ever A-Hub Grand finals in Rabat, Morocco. 
Kyrgyzstan and Abu Dhabi to help women who want to start businesses
To encourage the growth and diversification of commercial and bilateral partnerships between the women founders and entrepreneurs of both regions, the Women’s League of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan) and the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council convened.
