CAREC Energy Investment Forum (July 2017)
This year’s Energy Investment Forum: Financing Future Energy was held in coordination with the Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan.
The forum covered the following sessions:
Session 1: Investment needs and potential investment projects on energy sector in CAREC
Session 2: Financing Clean Energy in CAREC countries which included:
- Initiatives by multilateral donors
- Achieving green growth
- Role of innovative financing
Session 3: Roundtable for Export Credit Agencies /Export-Import (ECAs/EXIM) Banks, which discussed the benefits of working with ECAs/EXIM Banks; regional risk framework, rules of engagement – limitations and opportunities
Session 4: Presentation on Kazakhstan Future Energy Plan
Session 5: Attracting private sector financing to the energy projects in CAREC region
