 Azerbaijan could become an ICT hub in the South Caucasus region
Azerbaijan is working on creating the necessary infrastructure and developing ways to support the startup ecosystem. The Agency for Innovation and Digital Development under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of Azerbaijan demonstrates progress in this direction.

 Kazakhstan to create 175,000 jobs and increase the number of startups by 40% in 2022
According to Kazakh National Economy Minister, it’s expected that the implementation of the 2021-2025 national entrepreneurship development national project will help to achieve this year the following socioeconomic effects: to raise the SME to share up 33.8% of GDP, to generate 175,000 new workplaces, to increase the number of new startups under the Bastau business project up to 40%, and to raise the share of rural population with substandard income up to 7.1%.

Digital Bridge-2022: IT startups took part in Astana Hub Battle 
On September 29, the annual Astana Hub Battle of Tech Startups was held at the Digital Bridge-2022 international forum venue. The best startups received $10,000 for 1st place, $5,000 for 2nd place, and $3,000 for 3rd place. The forum aims to find new participants in the ecosystem, popularize the domestic startup culture, and develop technological entrepreneurship.

Congress and Exhibition "Syngas Nitrogen Uzbekistan and the CIS"
Congress and Exhibition “Syngas Nitrogen Uzbekistan and the CIS” is the only professional international platform for the leading companies of the methane gas chemical industry in Uzbekistan and the CIS with the participation of the largest syngas processors. The event will take place in Tashkent, November 9-11. It is designed to discuss the largest investment projects for the construction and modernisation of production facilities.

Young entrepreneurs from Mongolia developed 10 mobile application startups under the supervision of MIT graduate students
Over the eight-week GSL course, 41 young aspiring entrepreneurs from Mongolia worked to develop their own mobile app startup businesses under the supervision of MIT graduate students. As a result, participants developed ten mobile application startups and pitched their ideas at a Demo Day in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar.

Business incubators opened in universities of Kyrgyzstan
As the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported, business incubators have been opened in more than 20 higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan aimed at developing a creative economy, supporting entrepreneurship and creating startups among young people.

Startups of Tajikistan’s “Business- Accelerator for women, girls and youth” project to receive financing
For 6 months, the startups of the “Business- Accelerator for women, girls and youth” project implemented by the National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan (NABWT), went through a business acceleration program. At the end of the project, 30 new start-ups are expected to be launched.

The Kyrgyz Republic entered the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2022 for the first time, landing at the 100th spot, according to StartupBlink analytical center, which monitors startups annually. The country also ranked second in Central Asia and seventh in the regional economic rating.
