Digitalization Policy and Initiatives 
Azerbaijan continues the initiatives on the stimulation of startups
Azerbaijan is continuing initiatives for the stimulation of startups. During Baku ID Summer'22 (Baku Investment Day), the main startup and innovation event in Azerbaijan, organized by SABAH.lab and aimed to drive the startup ecosystem forward, 25,000 manat ($14,721) have been allocated to 18 projects each.
 Georgia and Kazakhstan plan to cooperate in IT sphere
During the official meeting of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili on July 27, 2022, a memorandum of understanding between the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT Startups and Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency was signed.
Uzbekistan introduces mobile-ID identification system for individuals
Uzbekistan introduces a Mobile-ID personal identification system that envisages the identification of a person by means of his mobile phone number. Identification of a person using the Mobile-ID system is carried out at the request of citizens of the Public Service Centers or notary offices or through the EPIGU mobile application.

Women IT Union “GAP” launched in Tashkent
On July 19, a new project “GAP” Women IT Union was launched in Tashkent aimed to attract women to the field of information technology. 
Startup Ecosystem Initiatives 
Central Asia's best female IT startups will receive support
Uzbekistan has selected promising startups submitted by participants of the international project Tumaris.Tech. The project aims to support women's IT initiatives. The authors of the best ideas will find investors and gain valuable knowledge during communication with mentors.   
Experimentation Innovation Challenge held for young Pakistani women
Women In Energy Pakistan and UNDP co-hosted an Experimentation Innovation Challenge for young women aged 15-30 in renewable energy between June 20 - June 30, 2022, to provide them the chance to suggest their own ideas on transitioning to a green economy – at a village, city, or national level. 
Business Accelerator for women, girls and the youth held in Tajikistan
“National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan” launched a project “Business Accelerator for Women, Girls and the Youth” in Khujand to help women entrepreneurs and young people in developing their innovative business projects and startups. 
IT Park Uzbekistan: three years results 
The article discusses the 3 years old achievements of the IT Park in the startup ecosystem development, the growth of domestic IT companies, and education. 
5 Central Eurasian startup ecosystems improved their parameters 
In the StartupBlink Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2022 among 9 countries of the Central Eurasia region represented in the report only 5 showed growth in their startup ecosystems.
