CAREC Secretariat launches the CAREC University Startup Generator Challenge

The CAREC University Startup Generator is live and accepting sign-ups from university students in the CAREC region. The challenge, which is hosted on the ADB Challenges platform, will support students to develop their startup ideas that can improve issues in key areas (agriculture, education, environment, finance, and health). The initiative is organized by the CAREC Secretariat and is supported by the Asian Development Bank and Republic of Korea e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund. The challenge is being organized as part of the CAREC Digital Month.

Regional Workshop on Implementation of the Road Map of the Shymkent-Tashkent-Khujand Economic Corridor (STKEC) Development

On 20 April, a regional workshop on implementing a road map for Shymkent-Tashkent-Khujand Economic Corridor (STKEC) development was co-organized virtually with Tajikistan. More than 100 participants including deputy minister level officials from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, and representatives from development partners and the private sector attended the event and deliberated the prospects and measures in implementing the STKEC road map.
