Capacity Building for Developing Member Countries on the WTO Trading System

The main objective of the technical assistance is to support developing member countries (DMCs) to fully integrate into the World trade Organization (WTO) multilateral trading system through (i) increasing their awareness of WTO agreements so that they can be fully implemented; (ii) assisting them to participate fully in the new WTO round; and (iii) assisting DMCs, including Pacific DMCs, to accede to WTO.

Preparing the Regional Gas Transmission Improvement Project in the Central Asia Republics

The TA was to formulate a regional project suitable for ADB financing to improve the gas transmission network in the Central Asia Republics (CARs) to facilitate access to modern energy by the rural poor, regional major cities, and commercial centers.

Feasibility Study of Borovoe–Petropavlovsk Road Rehabilitation Project in Kazakhstan

The technical assistance assisted the Government of Kazakhstan in preparing a proposal to improve the road from Borovoe to Petropavlovsk. It supplements and reviews the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)-financed feasibility study of the Borovoe-Petropavlovsk Road Rehabilitation Project.

Atyrau Airport Project

The project will improve efficiency and commercialization of operations at Atyrau Airport, and will implement changes in the legal and regulatory environment of air transport in Kazakhstan.
