Seminar Series for Turkmenistan’s Road to WTO Accession: Introductory Session on the Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Trade Organization (WTO) Secretariat organized a seminar to prepare the Government of Turkmenistan for WTO accession. Turkmenistan attained observer status in July 2020. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan experiences were shared.

ADB Turkmenistan Resident Mission Country Director Chang Ching Yu, WTO Accessions Division Director Maika Oshikawa, and Government of Turkmenistan Commission on WTO Accession’s Executive Secretary Maksat Charyyev delivered opening remarks. WTO accession is a priority under the CAREC Integrated Trade Agenda 2030.
