16th CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee Meeting
Representatives of 11 CAREC member countries and development partners met to review the implementation of the Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy 2020 and discuss opportunities from Georgia’s accession to CAREC.
Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, country director, Asian Development Bank Georgia Resident Mission, welcomed participants to the workshop, chaired by Tajikistan and hosted by Georgia.
Transport officials held discussions on the future direction of regional cooperation in transport through initiatives in railways, road safety, asset management, transport facilitation, and aviation.
