Publications Launch: Diagnostic Study and Strategic Framework for Free Economic Zones and Industrial Parks in the Kyrgyz Republic

Two publications, including a Diagnostic Study and a Strategic Framework for Free Economic Zones (FEZs) and Industrial Parks in the Kyrgyz Republic, were launched.

Uran Chekirbaev, head of the Free Economic Zones Department of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Asian Development Bank Kyrgyz Republic Resident Mission OIC Maria Paniagua opened the workshop.

CAREC Unit Head and ADB Central and West Asia Department Senior Regional Cooperation Specialist Guoliang Wu and his team presented the project findings with proposed policy toolkits and specific recommendations to improve the performance of Kyrgyz Republic’s FEZs and industrial parks, as well as international best practice and other country cases.

Fifty officials from the government ministries, local governments, FEZ general directorates, research institutions, and private sector associations attended the event.
