Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Road Asset Management Systems (Georgia, Pakistan and Tajikistan)
Date/Time: 6 October 2021, 13:00 (Tbilisi) / 14:00 (Islamabad/Dushanbe) / 17:00 (Manila)
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) member countries have made progress in the development of road asset management systems (RAMS). They have achieved the development in a unique manner. Knowledge and lessons obtained in the process are found to be highly valued to be shared among the countries for their further development of RAMS.
In response, ADB/CAREC pursues to build a knowledge-sharing platform among the countries and, as a pilot, held a virtual workshop to facilitate the exchange of experiences and lessons learned from the RAMS development. For this pilot event, the three countries were invited: Georgia, Pakistan, and Tajikistan.
Each country’s representative made a presentation regarding the RAMS, its past development, the current functionality and operation, and any plans for further development, followed by open discussions among the participants. This workshop is jointly designed and held by the CAREC Transport TA team and the three countries’ ADB transport team (Transport and Communication Division and Georgia/Pakistan/Tajikistan Resident Missions, Central and Asia Department).
