Consultation Workshop on New Long-Term CAREC Strategy (Azerbaijan and Tajikistan)
Consultations were held with key stakeholders in Azerbaijan and Tajikistan on a new long- term strategy for CAREC.
A mission led by Safdar Parvez, director, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, Central and West Asia Department, met with Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, minister of economic development and trade, Tajikistan; and Emin Huseynov, deputy minister of finance, Sahil Babayev, deputy minister of economy, and Samir Veliyev, head of administration, Ministry of Economy, Azerbaijan.
Consultation workshops involving key government ministries and agencies were convened in Dushanbe on 22 May and in Baku on 25 May.
Nariman Mannapbekov, country director, ADB Azerbaijan Resident Mission, and Bouadokpheng Chansavat, officer-in-charge, ADB Tajikistan Resident Mission, participated in the mission.
