CI-ADB Country Specific Workshop on Advancing Climate Resilience in Uzbekistan’s Water, Agriculture, and Energy Sectors through Sustainable Financing and Private Investment

A workshop titled “Advancing Climate Resilience in Uzbekistan’s Water, Agriculture, and Energy Sectors through Sustainable Financing and Private Investment” will be held from 25-27 November 2024, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Organized by the CAREC Institute under support from the CAREC Program of the Asian Development Bank, the event aims to explore the critical links between water, agriculture, and energy, which are key to sustainable development in Central Asia.

The workshop will gather stakeholders including government representatives, financial institutions, private investors, and subject matter experts to discuss innovative financing approaches and policy recommendations. Participants will collaborate to identify investment gaps and explore strategies to strengthen climate resilience in Uzbekistan’s key sectors. The workshop’s outcomes are expected to promote cooperation and generate actionable plans for sustainable financing solutions, supporting both economic progress and environmental sustainability in the region.
