CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations Executive Board Meeting (February 2011)

Members of the CFCFA Executive Board

  • reviewed past year’s accomplishments and discussed the 2011 work plan,
  • agreed to keep the work program’s priorities, and
  • encouraged ownership and active participation in CFCFA activities.

They created three working groups for (i) standardization and adoption of international best practices, (ii) cross-border transport and trade; and (iii) organization and funding.

They also acknowledged initial progress achieved in CFCFA’s first year, particularly its contribution to the corridor performance measurement and monitoring (CPMM) project.

Members were encouraged to (i) enhance their ownership by showing more concrete support to the work of CFCFA, (ii) build a stronger secretariat, (iii) improve communication among CFCFA members, (iv) conduct more capacity-building activities, and (v) further raise the status as well as the financial viability of CFCFA.
