CAREC is a practical, project-based program that has grown from 6 projects worth $247 million in 2001, to 166 projects worth around $27.7 billion in 2015.
Projects in Tajikistan
As of 2015, CAREC has mobilized around $1.13 billion for 22 projects in Tajikistan, which have helped improve transport, trade, and energy infrastructure and policies. These projects also promote better connections-within CAREC and with outside markets-that are key to unlocking the region's vast resources and human potential.
