Summary:The technical assistance helps in preparing the project to improve the operation and efficiency of the regional power transmission system and enhance economic regional power trade and cooperation among the Central Asian republics.
Expected Outcome:The TA will identify the improvements required in the regional power transmission and dispatch system operation, formulate a new regulatory framework for the power pool, and determine the necessary steps for implementation.
Expected Outputs:The study, to be financed by the TA, will review the status and assess the impact of the ongoing reform efforts in the power sector in each country.
