Asia Regional Workshop on Public-Private Partnerships

Tokyo, Japan: 2-5 June 2015

This training course provided by the Asian Development Bank Institute aims to improve the capacity of government officials to establish effective public-private partnerships (PPPs) to fulfill infrastructure demands in the Asia-Pacific region.

Participants learned how to access this additional source of financing and utilize the expertise of the private sector to maximize their ability to deliver the resulting services.

The workshop aimed to

  • deepen understanding of the role of the public and private sector in PPP,
  • create a space to discuss and share experiences,
  • create a network of colleagues from different countries to share ideas and innovation, and
  • improve their capacity to make decisions regarding PPP development.
