TRANSPORT: CAREC Corridor 2 (Mangystau Oblast Section) Investment Program - Tranche 2 (Kazakhstan / ADB)
The project aims to increase transport connectivity and efficiency in the Mangystau sections of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Corridor 2. It will contribute to sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan and improve regional cooperation under CAREC.

CAREC is a partnership of 10 countries working together to create economic growth and improve the quality of life for all people of the CAREC region. Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are supported in the regional cooperation process by 6 multilateral institutions: Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Monetary Fund, Islamic Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme, and World Bank.
